Credits: The image of the idealized face with the double pentagon overlay is borrowed
and used with permission from the gracious Scott Billups (image is copyrighted 2004, Scott Billups).
See the May 2004 issue of Computer Graphics World for the full article on his work in this area
and visit his website PixelMonger to view his enormous range of creativity.
The concentric series of double pentagons defines not only the form and esthetic of our face, indeed our whole body,
it defines the actual form and esthetic of the DNA double-helix molecule (axial view) itself.
See my earlier works on the Geometry of DNA (axial view) graphics
and the white papers which support them:
"Pattern in Number (PIN)",
the "Geometry of DNA (GoDNA)",
and the "Structure and Chemistry of DNA (SCoDNA)"
for the seemingly uncanny, but ultimately holistic parallel.
For a light-hearted romp & interactive graphics on GoDNA see the related net.art project "Hey!Ufunk'nwithmyDNA?"

Statement & Bio

Best viewed with IE, 800x600, JavaScript enabled and the F-11 full screen view key selected.
Important: Text Size must be set to Medium (default). In IE-->View-->Text Size-->Medium.

Wait for page to download (lots of tiny graphics)

*Correcting the Web Page Display (if needed)
This website was designed to be optimized for:
---800 x 600 to 1024 x 768 screen resolution
---15-20" monitor
---IE 4,5,6+ with TEXT SIZE set at "Medium"(default)
Decreasing the TEXT SIZE to "Smaller" or "Smallest"
corrects most spacing artifacts induced by higher resolutions.
(IE Menu> View > Text Size > Medium --->Smaller/Smallest)
There should be NO SPACES between the image squares...see examples above

Usage: Private, non-commercial use of any image above...in part, in whole or as a composite...is permitted.
Commercial use is not.
This is a tiered interactive net.art project. From Scott Billups original image and idea,
I have overlayed my own images and ideas, manipulating them to form some 32 new images
which have been broken up into a grid of some 30 partial images which you may now recombine
into any one of the gazillion possible combinations (more possibilities than there are people on earth).
While you can treat each partial image as a color-tone-texture option on your human face palette
to create your own unique facial design...which you can capture, print and/or post to the web...
please credit the process to Reginald Brooks, Brooks Design at www.brooksdesign-cg.com .
Credit to the original idealized face and permission to use such image should be directed to Scott Billups (see above).
